Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been named recipient of the 2026 Global Transformation and Good Governance Prize by the Millennium Excellence Award USA.
The award was announced following a decision by the Board of Directors of the Millennium Excellence Foundation, which said the selection considered the achievements and developmental progress of Lagos State under Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with the red carpet scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
