In an effort to prioritize road safety and revenue generation, Mr. Olugbenga Anthony, Chairman of the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), along with 26 other officials, has been inducted as Special Marshals of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. Mr.

Anthony expressed that their decision to join the FRSC was driven by the need to safeguard lives and ensure the smooth flow of revenue collection. He emphasized that their role extends beyond collecting road taxes, as they are now actively involved in promoting road safety and protecting taxpayers on the road.

Mr. Anthony further highlighted the significance of road safety, stating that the loss of a single vehicle owner not only impacts revenue generation but also hinders the ability to register vehicles and carry out tax transactions.

He assured that the newly inducted members of the unit are committed to upholding their oath of allegiance and working diligently to fulfill their responsibilities. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for creating an enabling environment that allows OGIRS to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Ogun State.
