Rumor of 5pm Curfew in Sagamu Debunked, 7pm Curfew Still in Effect

The Sagamu Local Government has issued a statement debunking the circulating rumor of a 5pm curfew in Sagamu and its environs.

The Executive Chairman, Ogbeni Jubril Olashile Odulate, clarified that the 7pm curfew, as communicated and announced by the State Government, is still in full force.

“There has been no official adjustment to the curfew time by either the Ogun State Government or the Sagamu Local Government. Law-abiding residents are urged to continue going about their legitimate business between 6am and 7pm until normalcy is fully restored to the towns and villages.” He said In a statement.

The clarification comes as a response to the false information spreading through social media and other channels. He, however, noted that It is important for residents to disregard the rumor and adhere to the official curfew guidelines.
