The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has effectively rescued a 17-year-old boy, Otohu Moses, who was reportedly kidnapped on Monday.

The father of the victim, Sunday Iboin, reported the incident to the So-Safe Corps on Tuesday, detailing that his son was abducted while he went to ease himself at the back of the house. The kidnappers, suspected to be members of the neighborhood, allegedly demanded a ransom of N1.5 million.

In a press statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Soji Ganzallo, through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, it was revealed that the operational team of the Corps strategically took action and confronted the suspected kidnappers in a forest several kilometers away from the point of kidnapping.

The statement indicated, “the boy was rescued unhurt, though with marks of cane on his body, while the three armed kidnappers escaped with one motorcycle.” The rescued victim has been handed over to operatives of the state police command attached to Imala Divisional Police Headquarters.
