Muslim Congress hosts Fundraising Event for Remo Dawah Centre

The Muslim Congress, TMC, hosted a fundraising event for the Remo Dawah Centre on the 22nd of September 2024. This charity gathering saw a large turnout of devout Muslims thirsty and committed to support the noble cause of transforming Remo Dawah Centre from its current state to a grand edifice as intended.
To commence the event, Sheikh AbdulQuadri offered prayers to God, invoking His presence to kickstart the day with Him.
A lecture was delivered by, Honorable Dr. Abdulhakeem Abdullateef Yepe, Former Chief Imam of Lagos State House of Assembly. The topic, Spending in the Cause of Allah, delivered with a humorous tone, dealt some fatal blow to ‘faithful individuals’ who for a reason or the other are hesitant to support the noble cause. One of the highlights of his teaching is the emphasis he laid on the point, “Your money is not yours, it’s God’s hence, use it for His cause. Because there will come a time when these things wouldn’t matter”.
Conversely, in an enlightening interview session with some dignitaries present. The benefit of the Remo Dawah Centre was outlined, citing reasons for many to contribute to achieving this goal.
According to information made privy to our correspondent, Remo Dawah Centre have seen 11 years now with the estimated completion budget pegged at 1 billion Naira considering the state of the economy. However, yesterday’s event rekindled the zeal of many as several donations were made right there at the event and many more expected to be received in due time.
Some dignitaries present are: Prof. Semiu Bello (Chief Imam Darwa Centre); Chief Imam of Ikenne Community; Alhaj. Mohamodu Bashiru Sekere; Iya Suna General Remo; Chairman of the Muslim Congress and many more.
