Dapo Abiodun, Dave Umahi Visit Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Highway, Pledge Palliative Work Completion by Mid-December

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, have visited the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Highway to assess the ongoing palliative work on the critical infrastructure.

During the on-site inspection, the duo pledged to complete the project by mid-December, bringing relief to motorists who have endured the deplorable condition of the road.

 

The governor expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his prompt intervention and commitment to alleviating the hardship faced by road users. He also commended the Minister of Works for his collaboration in restoring the highway.

The palliative work aims to address the failed portions of the road, ensuring smoother travel for all motorists. Additionally, solar lights will be installed along the entire 120-kilometer stretch to enhance safety.

 

Governor Abiodun assured that the project will be completed in the shortest possible time, ensuring a safe and efficient roadway for all users.

 

“We appreciate President Bola Tinubu for his prompt intervention and commitment to alleviating the hardship faced by road users. Our administration, in collaboration with the Minister of Works, Senator @realdaveumahi, is dedicated to taking swift action to restore this critical infrastructure.

 

“We expect this project to be completed by mid-December, and we will also be installing solar lights along the entire 120-kilometre stretch to enhance safety.” Governor Dapo Abiodun said.

 

Ogbeni Jubril Odulate, Otunba Taofeek Sokoto Danku and many other stakeholders and political dignitaries were part of the dignitaries in attendance.
