Transfer: Theo Hernández Set for €25m Move to Al Hilal

French international Theo Hernández is on the brink of joining Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal, with a deal now finalized between the club and AC Milan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Monday.

The 26-year-old left-back is expected to sign his contract in the coming days, following a verbal agreement reached two weeks ago. AC Milan will reportedly receive a €25 million transfer fee.

Hernández is set to become the latest European star to join Al Hilal and is expected to play a key role under manager Simone Inzaghi.

Romano confirmed the development, writing: “Theo Hernández to Al Hilal, here we go! Agreement now being sealed after verbal pact made two weeks ago. AC Milan will receive €25m transfer fee as Theo will sign his contract in the upcoming days. New left back for Simone Inzaghi.”

Former Real Madrid defender Theo Hernández joined AC Milan in 2019 and rapidly established himself as one of the club’s key players. Known for his pace, attacking flair, and defensive strength, Hernández played a pivotal role in Milan’s resurgence, culminating in their Serie A title triumph during the 2021/22 season—the club’s first in over a decade.

His impending departure signals a major shift in AC Milan’s defensive structure as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Replacing a player of Hernández’s calibre will be a considerable task for the club, both tactically and in terms of leadership on the pitch. His move to Al Hilal not only marks the end of an impactful chapter at San Siro but also reflects the growing influence of the Saudi Pro League in attracting top European talent.
