The Collectives Club made a regal statement on December 27, 2025, as it hosted its spectacular End-of-Year Annual Party alongside the Remo Day Dinner at the exquisite private residence of the Akarigbo of Remoland in Sagamu. Kicking off at 7:00 p.m., the glamorous event was a fitting tribute to the 2025 Remo Day festivities, bringing together members, dignitaries, and guests in an atmosphere of elegance, unity, and cultural pride.
Set against a backdrop of tasteful decor that reflected the festive spirit, the venue buzzed with camaraderie and celebration. The evening was graced by the presence of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, the revered Akarigbo of Remoland, whose arrival added royal splendor and underscored the event’s cultural significance. Other distinguished traditional rulers, including the Randawa of Idado, the Onipara of Ipara, the Oniraniken of Iraniken, and the Asiwaju of Remoland, Chief Onafowokan, also honored the occasion alongside prominent community leaders, such as the Chairman of Remo Growth Development Foundation (RGDF) and his wife.
The lively night was expertly hosted by MC Adaptor, whose engaging commentary kept the energy high. Musical entertainment featured the talented DJ Celeto, who kept guests dancing with an electrifying mix of contemporary and timeless tunes, while the soulful sounds of Lekan Sax added a touch of class with live saxophone performances that enchanted everyone present.
The program commenced with a heartfelt opening prayer led by Olugbenga Daniel Adebayo, followed by an inspiring address from Engineer Wole Ogunsanya, President of The Collectives Club. In his speech, he lauded the royal fathers, recognized the RGDF leadership, and celebrated the club’s strong family spirit, especially acknowledging the “Collectives babes”, members who reached 60 years of age, honoring their wisdom and contributions.
A highlight of the evening was the tribute to esteemed members turning 60, including Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi, CEO of Codix Pharmaceuticals, whose milestone was celebrated with a spirited rendition. Despite the absence of Sir Opeyemi Agbaje and Colonel Dele Oyenuga, their enduring legacies were warmly acknowledged.
The event reached a crescendo when His Royal Majesty, the Akarigbo of Remoland, delivered a heartfelt goodwill message. Praising the significance of Remo Day and commending The Collectives Club’s dedication to cultural preservation and community development, he underscored the event’s importance in fostering unity and pride among the people of Remoland.
