Sagamu LG Chairman Hails Ogun Governor at Aiyepe Road Commissioning, Calls on Him to Represent Ogun East in Senate

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for the reconstruction of Aiyepe Road, describing it as a long-neglected project that had remained abandoned for nearly three decades.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Thursday , January 22, 2026, Odulate said the completion of the road, a critical link to Aiyepe under Odogbolu Local Government, has brought great relief and renewed hope to residents. He expressed particular pride that the historic project was completed during his tenure as Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government.

He also commended other major road projects in Sagamu, including Oba Erinwole Road, Hospital Road in Ogijo, Ajegunle Road, Surulere Road, and Major Thompson Road, describing them as clear testimonies of visionary leadership and evidence of the governor’s ISEYA developmental agenda across Ogun State.

Highlighting local government efforts, Odulate listed the construction of Cinema Road, Sawmill Road, Sode Road, and the 5-kilometre Awosanya Road with heavy interlock stone, the first of its kind in the area, as deliberate steps to complement the state government’s infrastructural initiatives.

He addressed critics, stressing the importance of distinguishing constructive criticism from personal attacks, saying, “You are definitely not leaving Ogun State the way you met it; you have crossed the T’s and you are dotting the I’s now.”

In a political appeal, Odulate, on behalf of the nine Council Chairmen of Ogun East and the people, urged Governor Abiodun to consider representing Ogun East as a Senator to continue his “good work,” adding, “Ogun East needs you.”
