Remo Women Initiative Brings Hope: Visiting Hospitals in Isara-Remo and Iperu to Support healthcare in Remoland
Members of Remo Women Initiatives embarked on a compassionate outreach to hospitals in Isara-Remo and Iperu, demonstrating love, care, and support for patients receiving treatment.
The visit, which was organized in celebration of International Women’s Day marked on March 8, 2026, began at the General Hospital in Isara-Remo. Members of the group warmly interacted with the patients and hospital staff, spending time encouraging those receiving treatment and offering kind words of hope and comfort.
During the visit, the women met with a patient receiving treatment at the hospital. A token of support was presented to the patient and her husband, while prayers were offered for her quick recovery. The gesture created a moment of encouragement and emotional support for the family.
In appreciation of the efforts of healthcare workers, the group also presented a token to members of staff at the hospital as a way of recognizing their dedication and service to the community.
The visitation, which forms part of the group’s humanitarian activities, was aimed at uplifting the spirits of patients and reminding them that the community cares about their well-being.
After the stop at Isara-Remo General Hospital, the group continued the outreach to Muhammadu Buhari Mother And Child Hospital Iperu, where they also met with patients and shared messages of encouragement and support. During the visit to the hospital in Iperu, the women presented tokens to mothers and their newly born babies as a gesture of care and celebration of new life. Many patients and their families expressed appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, noting that such visits bring comfort and hope during difficult times.
Speaking during the outreach, representatives of Remo Women Initiatives highlighted the importance of compassion, community support, and kindness, especially for individuals facing health challenges. They noted that the outreach, held in line with the celebration of International Women’s Day, reflects the spirit of care, empathy, and service that women continue to demonstrate in society.
After the visitation to both hospitals, members of the group proceeded to the Iperu Development Association (IDA) secretariat to express their appreciation and further strengthen community ties.
At the end of the outreach, closing prayers were offered by Hon. Amb. Lizzy Jekami, who also appreciated and thanked members of the group for their dedication, kindness, and commitment to supporting people within the community.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that promote community welfare, unity, and social responsibility across Remoland, noting that the hospital visitation is part of Remo Women Initiatives ongoing efforts to positively impact lives and strengthen the spirit of care within the community.
