Odulate Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Unity, Security Consciousness During Eid-el-Kabir

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful and residents of the local government area as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir and Children’s Day.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the celebrations, Odulate described Eid-el-Kabir as a period for deep reflection on the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, peace, and compassion as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

The chairman also called on Nigerians to use the occasion to offer prayers for the country, particularly in view of recent security challenges and unfortunate incidents affecting innocent citizens across different communities.

He prayed for divine comfort for affected families, protection for communities, and healing for the nation.

Speaking on Children’s Day, Odulate stressed the need to create a peaceful, secure, and hopeful society where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

According to him, promoting love, unity, moral values, and collective responsibility remains essential to building a better future for the younger generation.

While urging residents to celebrate peacefully with family and loved ones, the chairman advised citizens to remain security conscious, stay safe, and celebrate responsibly throughout the festive period.

He further encouraged the people to extend support to the less privileged and continue to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and peaceful coexistence which both Eid-el-Kabir and Children’s Day represent.

Odulate also prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful and grant the nation peace, progress, and more celebrations in good health and happiness.

“Barka De Sallah and Happy Children’s Day,” he said.
