Abimbola Osisanwo Installed as Asiwaju of Idado Kingdom

Chief Abimbola Ajibola Osisanwo has been installed as the Asiwaju of Idado Kingdom at a traditional ceremony attended by royal fathers, community leaders, friends and associates.
The installation ceremony, held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, was marked by prayers, goodwill messages and recognition of Chief Abimbola’s contributions and continued support to the Idado community.
The newly installed chief was crowned by His Royal Highness, Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Radanuwa of Idado, who also delivered a speech at the ceremony.
Speaking on his expectations of the new Asiwaju, the traditional ruler expressed confidence in Chief Abimbola’s ability to use his new position to further support the community, contribute to its development and maintain the values associated with the traditional title.
In an interview, Chief Abimbola expressed appreciation for the honour and said he was pleased to be recognised with the prestigious title. He acknowledged the confidence reposed in him and expressed his readiness to continue contributing to the development and progress of the community.
Other royal fathers present at the ceremony also offered prayers for the newly installed Asiwaju, seeking wisdom, strength, success and continued blessings for him as he takes on his new responsibilities.
The ceremony also featured the recognition and inauguration of “Egbe Ba Oba Gunte, Radanuwa ti Ilu Idado” a group comprising friends and associates of the newly installed Asiwaju. The group was inaugurated by Oba Musiliu, who also prayed for its members and acknowledged their significance and growing presence within the community.
The traditional ceremony will be followed by a reception at Nandas Hotel, where guests, friends, associates and members of the community are expected to continue the celebration of Chief Abimbola’s installation as Asiwaju of Idado Kingdom.
