2023 Election: Obi Clears Four Out of Six Area Council, Takes Abuja.
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has emerged winner of the 2023 presidential election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The former governor of Anambra State, polled 281,717 votes, Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 90,902 votes while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered 74,199 votes.
FCT has six area councils— Abaji, Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali. Out of the six area councils, Labour Party triumphed in four, while the APC won two.
Apart from Abuja, Obi has also won states like Enugu, Nasarawa, Plateau and Lagos.
