Bellingham, Mbappé Lead Real Madrid to 4-0 Win Over Málaga
Real Madrid maintained their perfect start to the La Liga season with a 4-0 victory over Málaga at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.
Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a solo effort before Málaga goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero turned the ball into his own net seven minutes later.
Kylian Mbappé then made it 3-0 in the 30th minute, volleying home from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross as Madrid took firm control of the match.
The hosts continued to dominate after the break, although the pace of the game dropped. Bellingham came close to adding another goal when his effort struck the post.
Substitute Arda Güler completed the scoring in the first minute of added time after being set up by Vinícius Júnior.
The result gives José Mourinho’s side three wins from three La Liga matches and nine points, maintaining their perfect start to the campaign.
Bellingham, who received a standing ovation from the home supporters when he was substituted, said he was enjoying the attacking freedom given to him under Mourinho.
“I’ve got the freedom to go higher or lower if we need, I’m enjoying myself a lot,” Bellingham told Real Madrid TV.
Real Madrid will next face Real Betis away before beginning their Champions League campaign against Inter Milan.
