CIBN to Hold 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is set to hold its 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference on September 8 and 9, 2026, at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The conference is themed “ *Building a Resilient Economy in an Era of Disruptions: Imperatives for the Banking and Financial Services Industry.”* It will focus on issues affecting the banking and financial services industry and discussions around strengthening the sector amid economic and technological disruptions.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank, Moruf Oseni, who is the Chairman of the Conference Organising Committee, said the 2026 edition was designed to go beyond conventional discussions by focusing on practical solutions and actionable recommendations.
Oseni stated that resolutions from the conference would be documented in a communiqué and forwarded to relevant stakeholders and policymakers to support decision-making and policy formulation.
