Ilisan Remo Leaders Applaud Egbe Bobagunwa’s New Care Foundation.

Egbe Bobagunwa, an age-group association in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State, has celebrated its first anniversary with the inauguration of the Egbe Bobagunwa Care Foundation.
The event brought together community leaders, government officials, association members and other guests to mark the group’s first year and launch its new community-focused initiative.
Chief Fagorola, representing the Royal Father of the Day, the Olofin of Ilisan, His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Mojeed Sonuga (Daniyan II), offered prayers for the association’s continued progress, unity and success. He also prayed for members and their families as they work towards the group’s objectives.
The chairman of the occasion, the Madegun of Ilisan Remo, Chief Adesanya Oluwole, urged members to remain united and committed to the vision that brought them together. He underscored the importance of collective responsibility and encouraged them to sustain their commitment to serving and supporting the community.
Chief Adesanya formally inaugurated the Egbe Bobagunwa Care Foundation during the ceremony.
In his welcome address, the planning committee chairman and group secretary, Mr Sopitan Abiodun, said the foundation would focus on educational assistance for indigent and deserving students, health and welfare support for elders, youth empowerment and community development.
The celebration also included the presentation of award medals to the association’s patrons and adviser in recognition of their support.
The Grand Patron and Matron, Aare Bobagunwa and Yeye Aare Bobagunwa of Ilisan Remo, Chief Olugbenga Adebajo and Chief Mrs Kikelomo Adebajo, were among those honoured. The association’s patron, Alhaji Musbau Adelaja, was represented by Alhaja Tawa Fajolu, née Adelaja, who received his medal. Adviser Mr Sokoya Oyekunle was also honoured; his medal was received on his behalf by Mr Seni Ladegbuwa.
Dignitaries at the event included the Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Jamiu Muhammad Asimi; Barrister Sola Dada, president of Lilly and Rose of God, Ilisan Remo; Princess Alenkhe; and Apagunpote, Chief Owoseye Sonuga.
The anniversary gave members an opportunity to reflect on their first year together and to formally establish a platform for extending the association’s values of compassion and service beyond its membership.
With the foundation’s launch, Egbe Bobagunwa aims to create a lasting legacy through initiatives intended to benefit individuals, families and the wider Ilisan Remo community.
