Despite the government’s efforts to rebuild the market, the new location remains unknown to many, leading to a decline in patronage, she said.

In response, Baale Samsudeen Obafemi, the Asoju Babaloja of Oja Oba, acknowledged the government’s past support but urged for further refinements to enhance the market’s commercial status. He emphasized that as one of the oldest markets in Sagamu, it deserves more attention and investment. The market community hopes that the government will address their concerns and take necessary actions to revitalize the market, ensuring its prosperity and preserving its historical significance.
