The Argentine star was awarded the title during a glamorous ceremony held in London on Monday night. Despite his absence due to Inter Miami’s pre-season tour, Messi’s exceptional performances throughout the year earned him this remarkable achievement.

 

The 36-year-old football maestro outshone his competitors, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, to claim the coveted award. Messi’s remarkable journey in 2022, which included leading Argentina to victory in the World Cup, showcased his exceptional skills and unwavering determination.
