Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun Installed as Asiwaju Adeen Ogun State, Baba Adeen Remoland

In a grand ceremony held at the Remo Divisional High School in Sagamu, Ogun State, yesterday, Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, popularly known as ‘Allrounder,’ was formally installed as the Asiwaju Adeen and Baba Adeen of Ogun State Muslims and Remo Land, respectively.
The Royal Turbaning ceremony, which was attended by dignitaries and well-wishers, marked a significant milestone in the life of Alhaji Apelogun and the Muslim community in Ogun State.
Dignitaries from across Ogun State gathered to celebrate the installation of Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun. Notable attendees included the Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who praised the honoree’s character and pledged support. Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, also attended to cement the conferment. Other prominent guests included the Deputy Governor, Ministers of Transportation and Education, Chief of Staff, and several Islamic foundations from Remo.
Traditional rulers from across Remo Land were also in attendance, along with many other distinguished guests and dignitaries from across Ogun State and beyond.
The ceremony unfolded smoothly, with many in attendance expressing their conviction that Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun is a deserving recipient of the esteemed titles of Asiwaju Adeen and Baba Adeen. They cited his exemplary leadership qualities, good character, and selfless contributions to the community, unanimously agreeing that the position fits him perfectly.
The highlight of the event was the royal turbaning procession, which took place at the appointed time. Following the ceremony, the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, congratulated Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, alongside Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, as well as other dignitaries in attendance.
In his remarks, the newly turbaned Alhaji Prince Apelogun expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who had supported him on his journey. He also outlined his vision, values, and commitments, detailing his plans to serve the community and promote the well-being of all.
Upon completion of the formal ceremonies, guests made their way to the reception hall, where an exquisite array of delicacies was served. The event was exclusive, with a strict “no ticket, no entry” policy in place. Guests enjoyed their meals before the celebrant made a grand entrance, taking to the dance floor to the delight of the crowd. Renowned musician Saoti Arewa kept the atmosphere lively with his music, while MC Oluomo was also in attendance, adding to the excitement of the reception.
The joyous celebration continued until late evening, when guests, satisfied and fulfilled, began to bid their farewells and depart.
