JAMB SET TO CONDUCT SUPPLEMENTARY UTME FOR CANDIDATES

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), 67 individuals who enrolled for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but were unable to sit for the exam or take the recently ended Mop-Up UTME have a date set for Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Fabian Benjamin, the head of public affairs and protocol, said in a statement on Monday that individuals impacted will take the exam at centers that had been properly designated.

After the 2022 UTME, the Board evaluated the entire process and offered those students who had biometric issues the chance to take a mop-up exam.

The board further emphasized that in order for an applicant to receive special consideration and allocated to centers within it’s National Headquarters, Abuja. They must disclose any challenges they may have when in registration.

However, the board stated on Monday that despite learning of several suspicious challenges put forth by some candidates, it has “scheduled another set of 67 candidates to sit the examination at designated centers, under scrutiny of the Board” because of its “avowed commitment to equity and fairness.”

According to the statement, the choice to grant the impacted applicants a rare opportunity was made to prevent the unfair punishment of any innocent candidates.

Therefore, to know the testing locations, these 67 candidates are recommended to print their supplementary examination notification slips beginning on Monday, September 19, 2022.
