OGSG MONITORS SCHOOLS, PROMISED IMPROVED INFRASTRUCTURES

The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu who led the monitoring team to schools in the Abeokuta, Ijebu, and Remo axis of the state to monitor the level of preparedness as school resumes for the new academic session, said he was impressed by the level of readiness in the schools visited which showed that the series of meetings held with school managers in ensuring smooth take off the new academic year has been adhered to.

Arigbabu revealed that the visit was to also ascertain the level of infrastructural support needed to be put in place by the government, he explained that though some schools have provided the ministry with the infrastructural data, there was a need for the ministry to also find out for themselves what needed to be done in some schools, he reassured the effort of government would continue to work in progress until it achieves it’s desired standard and that the learners should be of good conduct to yield excellent results in the future.

The Principal, Remo Secondary School, (Senior), Mrs. Olubunmi Shuaibu, and Agunbiade Victory High School, Mrs. Christianah Odeyele said the schools had resumed fully and were ready to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities for the session.

Schools visited in the Ijebu axis include Molipa High School, Our Savior Anglican Primary School, Italowajoda, Wesley Primary School, Moslem Primary and Comprehensive High School, and Ijebu Ode.
In Remo: Soyindo Community High School and Remo Secondary School while in Abeokuta, Folarin Dalley International School, and Agunbiade Victory High School.
