The ongoing free medical outreach commenced with the customary morning prayer, setting a hopeful tone for yet another impactful day. Beneficiaries, who turned out in large numbers, expressed their gratitude for the rare opportunity to receive quality healthcare services at no cost.
Eye examinations formed a major highlight of the day, as Dr. Awodeyin and his team conducted thorough tests on beneficiaries. Several individuals who had long struggled with impaired vision were provided with corrective lenses, which were distributed immediately to enhance their sight and improve daily living.
Equally remarkable was the dental care session led by Agbabiaka Adejoke and her Ofada medical outreach team. Services offered included teeth cleaning, whitening, and alignment procedures, aimed at improving both oral health and confidence. The dental session officially commenced around 11 a.m., with beneficiaries who had earlier undergone preliminary consultations lining up in an orderly and well-coordinated manner to access the treatment.
In addition to eye and dental care, a wide range of other medical services was provided. Many participants received essential medications, while others took advantage of blood pressure monitoring and various diagnostic tests. Importantly, the outreach team detected several emergencies that required immediate intervention, and urgent care was swiftly administered on the spot, potentially averting more serious health complications.
Organizers emphasized that the initiative is not only meeting pressing medical needs but also laying the groundwork for healthier living in the community. According to the outreach team, the program reflects a “civilized and lifesaving intervention” that will continue to impact residents positively for the rest of the month and into the coming year.
