Osun 2026: Voting Ends at Polling Units as Sorting, Counting Begin

Voting has ended in several polling units across Osun State as voters completed accreditation and cast their ballots in Saturday’s governorship election.
Following the conclusion of voting at the affected polling units, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials commenced the sorting and counting of ballot papers in the presence of party agents and other stakeholders.
The first polling-unit results have also begun to emerge from different parts of the state. In Osogbo, for instance, results were announced at some polling units after ballots were sorted and counted.
However, voting and related processes did not end simultaneously across all polling units, with reports indicating that some locations experienced delays. INEC is also uploading results to its IReV Result Viewing Portal as the process progresses.
