PDP Launches Energetic Campaign Walk in Remo, Mobilizing Support for 2027 Election.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State held a vibrant campaign walk in Surulere, Remo, to mobilize support ahead of the January 16, 2027, election. The event featured gubernatorial candidate Oladipupo Adebutu and House of Representatives candidate Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole. The PDP campaign and flag-of-ceremony walk in Surulere, Ile Baba Ara (Remo), began around 8am with party supporters of all ages, including boys and girls. Various PDP groups participated actively, such as LADO babes, LADO riders, PDP babes, Lady Ova, ABO babes, Omo Tayo Omo Owo babes, Siko Foundation, the youth, and other bodies. Before the procession started, Eng. Sosonwo arrived and distributed money and other items to both old and young, while more supporters joined the rally as it built momentum ahead of the 16 January 2027 election.

 

Prominent PDP figures present included Hon Dr. Oladipupo Adebutu for Ogun State governor; Hon Hammed Femi Omotayo Omowo for Senate (Ogun East); Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole (ABO) for House of Representatives, Remo Federal Constituency; Hon Dr. Jamuiu Adesola Oyenuga for House of Assembly Constituency 1; Hon Abdu-wasiu Yomi Olatunji for House of Assembly Constituency 2; and PDP deputy governorship candidate Alajah Dr. Lateefat Sowunmi Kolapo. The rally was powered by Alhaja Hon Muraino Hassan, the Sagamu Local Government publicity secretary.

 

After everyone’s arrival, the movement began and the crowd became lively as the LADO babes and PDP babes danced and other groups joined in to make the event festive. The MCs, Sunny White and Olu Copper, kept the atmosphere entertaining while praising PDP. Music and cultural performances added to the excitement during the peaceful walk that passed through Awolowo Market. Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole addressed the people, urging them to come out to vote and “move Remo land forward together,” while a booklet showing how to vote on the ballot paper was shared.

 

The campaign also visited traditional settings, including Ewusi Palace and later the Akarigbo Palace of Remo land, where speeches and interactions took place. They thanked the participants and welcomed Eng. Adeola Sosanwo, a former PDP candidate who decamped to APC, now granted the honor to speak and thank supporters for welcoming him back to PDP.

 

Hon Hammed Femi Omotayo Omowo also appealed to voters, speaking in Hausa to appreciate the Hausa community and share election information. Hon Dr. Oladipupo Adebutu assured supporters that anyone seeking office should see it as his own mandate, and the crowd responded enthusiastically with “LADO.”
