Remo Stars Stadium to Host Super Falcons’ Olympic Qualifiers Against Comoros

The Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo has been confirmed as the venue for both legs of Nigeria’s second-round qualifying tie against Comoros in the race for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said the Super Falcons will face Comoros on October 9 and October 13, 2026, with both fixtures scheduled to take place at the Ikenne stadium.

Nigeria received a bye into the second round as one of the three highest-ranked teams in the qualifying competition, while Comoros advanced after defeating Sudan 30–0 on aggregate in the opening round.

The Super Falcons must progress through four two-legged knockout rounds to secure one of Africa’s two available places at the 2028 Olympic women’s football tournament.

The Ikenne fixtures will mark Nigeria’s opening step in the qualification campaign, with the Falcons seeking a second consecutive Olympic appearance after featuring at the Paris 2024 Games.
