McM: Phillip Kayode Moses

Kayode popularly known as Pheelz, is a Nigerian record producer, performer, and songwriter who is a native of Ogun State. He however was born and bred in Ojo, a local government area in Lagos State.

He started music as a 10 year old singer in church. While in high school in Ideal Comprehensive High School, Pheelz attended Ajangbandi Afromedia, and later worked under I.D Cabassa at Coded Tunes where he met Olamide.

His breakthrough came when he produced the chart-topping singles by Olamide titled “First of All” and “Fucking with the Devil” off his YBNL album in 2012. He gained more grounds in 2013 after he got produced all but one song in Olamide’s Baddest Guy Ever Liveth. He got nominations by Headies in recognition for his work in 2013 and 2014.

Over the years, he has worked with many top music artistes ranging from MI, Tiwa Savage, Runtown, Seyi Shey, Buju BNXN.

Pheelz collaborated with COPILOT Music and Sound on a cover of Carlinhos Brown’s “Maria Caipirnha (Samba da Bahia)”. The arrangement represented the musical instrumentation and styles of Nigeria for Visa’s “Samba of the World”, a digital campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

In recent year, he has release songs and EP Hear Me Out. He signed a record deal with Warner UK in 2022 after the release of his song with Buju BNXN ‘Finesse’.

Kayode has won many awards and nominations. He was Headies 2020 Producer of the Year.
