Remo Zone of Poultry Association Nigeria Hold Poultry Exhibition Egg, Chicken Fiesta

The Remo Zone of Poultry association of Nigeria on Tuesday started a two-day poultry exhibition egg and chicken Fiesta, which happens to be the maiden edition, called Farm and Fork.

The exhibition and Fiesta is scheduled to span through Tuesday 21st until Wednesday 22nd of march at the mercy event center, Offa oba erinwole road, Sagamu, Ogun state.

 

Speaking at the fiesta, Dame Olufunmilayo Agbato, the MD/CEO of Animal care services consult and the chairperson of the event, reiterated how important the farming sector has been to the development of Nigeria, not only because of what they produce, but because of the large number of youth they employ, hence reducing unemployment in the country.

“I’m pleased about this initiative, as I’m so sure it will show what farming truly is to the farmers we have here in Remo land as this is the maiden edition, and we hope it continues after now.

 

“ The farming sector is not a sector that should be abandoned because we feed the nation, and that’s why this Fiesta is established to further lecture and empower both the farmers and the Public ” she added.

 

Dr. S.O Makanjuola when speaking on the theme of the exhibition “sustaining the Poultry Industry Through Value Chain Development” said sustenance in farming comes when development is sighted, and that is one of the keys to the event.

 

“ This training will cover technology usage, Marketing, public Understanding, improved uses of eggs, financial and profit management, most importantly, taking the poultry industry to the next level” he said.

 

Some dignitaries in attendance are; the Akarigbo of Remo land duly represented, Dr. SO Makanjuola, Dame Olufunmilayo Agbato, Otunba Tunji Solarin, and many others.
