Arab Contractors Begin Road Repairs on Oke-diya Axis of Sotubo/Sagamu Road

The Arab Contractors, a construction company, has begun palliative measures on the Oke-diya axis of the Sotubo/Sagamu Road. This move comes after HRH, the Ayanperuwa of Sotubo, Oba Muyideen Ogunsola, and a concerned citizen visited the General Manager of the Arab Contractors two months ago to request that the company take action on the bad portion of the road. The contractors refused to take action at that time, but the company has now begun work on the road.
Delay in repairing the road has caused great frustration for motorists and commuters who have had to endure the poor condition of the road. During the Eid-Kabir celebration, the bad portion of the road caused uncountable motorists to suffer. It is believed that the company received some kind of threats from certain quarters which forced them to begin work on the road. While it is good news that the contractors have finally begun work, it is unfortunate that it took so long for them to take action.
Arab Contractors’ decision to begin repairs on the Oke-diya axis of the Sotubo/Sagamu Road is a welcome development for many. The citizens of the area have been calling for action to be taken on the bad portion of the road for quite some time. The move by the contractors to begin palliative measures on the road is a step in the right direction, but more needs to be done to ensure that the road is fully repaired.
Motorists and commuters are hoping that the contractors will complete the repairs as soon as possible to prevent further suffering on the road.
