Otunba Gbenga Daniel Joins Dignitaries in Paying Respects at Late Otunba Michael Adekunle Orekoya’s Wake Keep Ceremony

Former governor of Ogun State and present Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, joined dignitaries, family, and friends in paying their respects at the wake keep ceremony of late Otunba Michael Adekunle Orekoya, popularly known as Baba Major.

 

The ceremony, held at his residence in Epe, Sagamu, was filled with dancing, rejoicing, and heartfelt testimonies about Baba Major’s disciplined life. Hymns were sung as attendees honored the memory of the late Otunba.

 

The celebration began with the recovery of Baba Major’s corpse from the morgue at OOUTH. The precession, accompanied by family members, made its way to his residence in Epe, Sagamu, where the wake keep service commenced at 5:30pm.

Dignitaries, including Otunba Gbenga Daniel, gathered to pay their respects and share their fond memories of Baba Major. The celebration is set to continue with a church service and reception ceremony on Friday, February 23rd.

 

The late Otunba Michael Adekunle Orekoya, fondly known as Baba Major, leaves behind a legacy of discipline and respect. His wake keep ceremony serves as a reminder of the impact he made on the lives of those around him.
