Three students shot by suspected cultists at Osun State College of Health Technology

Three students of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa have been shot by unknown gunmen suspected to be cultists. The incident occurred on Sunday, July 23, 2023, around 9pm when the students were charging their phones at Amuta junction. The students, one male and two females, sustained high degrees of bullet injury and were rushed to Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo by the Amuta community. They were later referred to OAU Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.

The Public Relations Officer of Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident and said that details of the perpetrators of the crime were not known yet. The incident has caused panic among students and residents of the area. The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has launched an investigation into the incident and has promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The incident has raised concerns about the security of students in the state. The government has been called upon to provide adequate security measures to ensure the safety of students in the state. The people of the state have also been urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
