Remo Traditional Council of Obas Meets with Remo Day Planning Committee, Perfects Plans for Maiden Edition

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, on Tuesday, November 26th attended the end-of-year meeting of the Remo traditional council of Obas. The meeting, held at the Akarigbo Conference Hall, Ita Oba, Sagamu, Ogun State, was a significant gathering of traditional leaders and stakeholders in Remoland.

Following the discussions, the meeting culminated into another session with the Remo Day planning committee. The committee, led by the Chairman of Remo GDF, Otunba Seni Adetu, outlined the plans for the upcoming Remo Day 2024 celebration.

 

Oba Ajayi, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of the Remo Day celebration, stating that it would be a unique opportunity for the people of Remoland to come together and showcase their rich cultural heritage. He also assured that the celebration would be inclusive, with all communities in Remoland encouraged to participate.

The Akarigbo further stated, “Money or finance will not impede any community from participating in the upcoming Remo Day 2024. This is the maiden edition, and I’m sure it will be colorful and beautiful.”

 

The Chairman of Remo GDF, Otunba Seni Adetu, reiterated the plans outlined for the one-week event, urging all royal fathers to encourage their subjects to participate in making the event successful and colorful.

In attendance were, Kabiyesis across Remoland, Remo growth & development foundation ably led by the Chairman, Otunba Seni Adetu, Honourable Wole Sowole, Honourable Ronke Soyombo, ( SSA) on Education, Ogun State, Engr Olumide Onimale, Omoba Abiola Ogundeko,Engr. Olootu Oye Oduguwa, Mr Soile Adekunle, Secretary to the Remo traditional council of Obas and many other dignitaries.

 

The Remo Day 2024 celebration promises to be a landmark event that will not only bring together the people of Remo but also put the rich cultural heritage of the region on a global stage.
