THE COLLECTIVES’ FREE HEALTH WEEK OUTREACH: DAY TWO DELIVERS SCREENING, TESTING AND TREATMENT TO SAGAMU RESIDENTS

The Collectives 2026 Free Health Week Outreach continued on Wednesday with its second day of activities, as residents of Sagamu and surrounding communities turned out to access free medical screening, testing, consultation and treatment at The Collectives Club House, 15 Paddy Arikawe Avenue, GRA, Sagamu.
Following Tuesday’s high-profile opening ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, and other distinguished guests, Day Two shifted the focus squarely to the core objective of the initiative bringing essential healthcare services directly to the people.
Members of The Collectives worked alongside the medical team to coordinate the day’s activities and ensure beneficiaries moved smoothly through the various stages of the outreach.
The Chairman of the Health Week Committee, Barr. Wale Ajetunmobi, Esq., was on ground welcoming beneficiaries and ensuring smooth coordination of the registration process. Following registration, beneficiaries had their blood pressure checked before proceeding for relevant blood tests.
They were subsequently referred to the doctors on duty for medical consultations, where individual health concerns were assessed and appropriate medications prescribed and provided where necessary.
Beyond screening and treatment, health education remained an important component of the outreach. A nurse on the medical team engaged beneficiaries in an interactive health education session, offering practical guidance on self-care, the importance of regularly monitoring key health indicators and the value of routine health screenings.
Beneficiaries were encouraged not to wait until they become ill before seeking medical attention, but to make preventive healthcare and regular health checks part of their lifestyle.
Day Two further demonstrated The Collectives’ commitment to ensuring that the Free Health Week goes beyond identifying potential health concerns by providing beneficiaries with access to screening, professional medical consultation, treatment and practical health information.
The Collectives 2026 Free Health Week Outreach continues through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at The Collectives Club House, 15 Paddy Arikawe Avenue, GRA, Sagamu.
Members of the public are encouraged to take advantage of the remaining days of the outreach to access the free health services available.
