Mudashiru Ridwan Foundation Marks World Diabetes Day with Free Medical Outreach in Remo

The Mudashiru Ridwan Foundation yesterday commemorated World Diabetes Day 2024 with a free medical outreach program for the people of Remo. The event, held at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne, provided consultation, treatment, and prescriptions for patients with diabetes.
Aged, young, and indigent members of the community benefited from the outreach, which also featured a rally/walk, bike race, music, dance, and games. According to Mudashiru Ridwan, pioneer of the foundation, “Our goal is to create awareness about diabetes and promote healthy living. We’re committed to supporting our community in managing this condition.”
The event, which was well-attended by members of the community, was designed to raise awareness about diabetes prevention and management. The foundation provided free glucose screening, blood pressure checks, and medical consultations to hundreds of participants.
In attendance were notable dignitaries, including Dr. Sanni Kehinde Oseni, Rector of Gateway Polytechnic, Otunba Adedoyin Adeshina, National youth council of Nigeria Ikenne LG branch, and representatives from NAFC and other contributing organizations.
Dr. Oseni appreciated the foundation’s efforts, saying, “It’s essential to educate people about diabetes prevention and management. This initiative is a step in the right direction, and we’re proud to support it.”
Certificates of participation were awarded to organizations and individuals in attendance. The event was a considerable success, with many members of the community expressing gratitude for the free medical services and awareness raised about diabetes management.
